Mantel and Santa at the flea

It's Wednesday...
Flea Market day...
asked my hubby to go with me...
the man is NOT a morning person!!!
(Mental note to self...do not invite him again)...lol

The same decor was kept on the
mantel...just added  fun and festive
decor.

Sweet, dear, grumpy in the morning hubby
was able to drill the glass knobs onto
the mantel for our stockings.

Poor Santa...he has been trying to find a good home for
the last month...sadly, he was too pricey for me to
buy at the time.
BUT...
Today was our lucky day!!
The price was right and he
finally gets to come home with me.

The Christmas cups are still in their
original box and
the Inarco lady head vase will
be joining my collection.

I love, love this teapot...
it's robins egg blue, enamel and has
a marking at the bottom.
The only thing it needs is the glass knob
at the top.

The lace table runner was a great find,
sure will look great in my living room!

Today is our first official Christmas day vacation...
so far so good.

Have a Merry Christmas..
stay safe!

enjoying our free time.
No worries...No hurries...

My friend Amy gave me this beautiful
ginormous pine cone for
Christmas....
it barely fits my large cloche!!

I love it!!!

Off to bake Christmas cookies...

Merry Christmas friends...

Merry Christmas...
I hope you have been enjoying this
festive season...what can I say..
I love this time of year!!!

This week flea and thrift finds are...

A romantic chalk ware couple...breaks and all!
Yes? she asks breathlessly....
waiting...

mean ol' looking monkey with
4 cute little elves
sitting on a vintage robins egg blue tray.

I grew up with a Chrissy doll...you could control
the length of her hair...
remember her?
Let me introduce you to
Dina...her hair does the same thing!
Never knew she even existed.

My Chrissy has a new friend.

a 1959 Santa Holt Howard ceramic pitcher

As I was passing by a vendor I saw
these little cuties waving me down...
Heeyyyyy, over here...
is what I heard...
Oh my....I gently picked up 1965 Santa...

and the 1965 reindeer...

and 1991 mouse in the hat...

and 1968 Big Elf...

and 1993 singing angel with her 1988 sheep...

and the 1961 New Year baby...

and the 1986 Shepherd...

and Ms. 2008 Fourth of July Mom...

They were all so happy when I picked them up...
I was so happy when the vendor let me have them
for a song!!

My Annalee collection has grown...

Have a wonderful festive weekend
my friends!

He can play a merry jingle bells...

Not sure what this little lamb
is made out of...cork maybe?...her
little face is precious.

My copper tub filled with vintage
Santa wrapping paper, apothecary jar
filled with pepper berry branches, nutcrackers,
wooden Santa's, vintage frame and lots
of fresh lemon grass with yellow salvia.

JOY

A quiet day in the Trinket household...
decorated around the house...
clipped some pepper tree berry branches,
thanks to Susie for her creative idea...

Created a little
community of homes.

Joy...is a small community where
where everyone knows...yup..your name...

pointy.. pretty houses to the north,
pretty.. pointy houses to the south...
lots to see,
said the sparkly deer!

Joy, a loving peaceful place...

UNTIL...

My friend called around 11 am, asking if I could pick up
her son and bring him to my home...of course I said...
then a mad, mad, MAAD rush to clean and organize the
house before 2pm!!
It's now turned into a sleepover...
MY son couldn't be happier...lol

Have a great weekend,
Sylvia

Wednesday Flea finds

This weeks flea and thrift store
finds are:
1966 puzzle....
lots of Christmas trees with

this cute shy elf and reindeer.

lots of vintage ornaments...
blue bottles for my bottle tree.
A candle gazebo for my
outdoor patio.

I've never seen a vintage ornament this
big...have you?

I'm drawn to old weathered leather so
of course this 1945 school year book came home
with me.

The tiny pink tree topper was too
adorable to pass up...

I also had the pleasure of shopping and having lunch
with my friend Jen, we're both so busy
that we haven't see much of each other lately so
it was nice spending time with her.

I haven't even finished decorating the house yet
so I must sign off and get myself busy.

Hugs...
Sylvia
