Pink frame and cats having a tea party!

Winter in Florida...
84 degrees!!!

Some pretty flea finds this week
are....

A pretty wooden pink mirror...

It looks great outdoors!!!

but it is heading to the Antique Emporium
soon!!!

I've been eyeing this beautiful
watercolor in Anna's room
at The Antique Emporium!!!
It finally came home with me today.

The detail is amazing!!

I love this magnolia frame, it's a bit
worn is some places but still a beauty!!
A pretty violet plate and skeleton keys...
treasures for sure!

Barn wood frame...couldn't pass it up!

I don't usually buy new prints or cat prints for
that matter but when I saw these cats
having a tea party, well it made me smile.
It's a Rophar print...
this is what happens when the dogs are away
playing cards...haha

The pink vintage bottle was too cute!
Pink was my color, it all matched my blouse
today.

Life is Good...

Rose on an iron trellis

Remember these?

My son and I placed one of the
gates at the front of the
house and draped the
sad looking climbing
rose.
I am hoping the rose will
take off and cover the gate!

Spring is definitely in the air!!!

I am linking up to Nifty Thrifty Tuesday

Have a great day!

Blooming plants

I've been so busy with other
things that my poor garden has
been neglected.

So I got up early and started
weeding...weeding and weeding
and I'm still NOT done!

Blue daze has been one of my favorite
plants...a nice ground cover that
seems to bloom all the time here.

I planted this bush last year because
I love the magenta color and
it looks great in my secret garden.
Name??? lol...sorry I'm drawing
a blank right now.

Back to the weeds...

Later...

Mirror..mirror at the flea...

OK...it seems everyone knows about MY
flea market!!!
I had to park about 1/2 mile away....
that's CRAZY especially when you have your arms full
of goodies! (mental note...time to take buggy!)
I got yelled at today because I had to drive
my truck down the flea market aisles
to pick up furniture that I could
not carry!
I kept yelling out the window...Sorry, sorry!!! hahaha

I was drawn to the royal blue metal box and
robins egg blue AVON dish..love those colors!!!
The bamboo vase ($1.00) and green planter ($1.00...yesssss)
will be added to my collection!

The pretty jewelry will be going to the Emporium
sometime this week.

I know this lovely lady that
whenever she comes across
pretty mirrors she saves them for me.
I'm thinking of taking the
wooden sides off so it looks better!

Another great mirror with
very pretty detail.
Hmmm to paint or not to paint???

The little paddle/oar was too cute
to pass up and of course
the blue bottle will
end up in a bottle tree!

See what I mean?...All wood too!

Sing with me...

These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do
one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you...

7M...too small... so off to the Emporium!

It was a beautiful, warm day (80 degrees!), got home
a bit grumpy since I had to walk that far..haha
but after cleaning and staging...
I feel so much better.

Hope you are having a great day!

Sirena the dressform with some furniture

Meet Sirena...
She's decided to link up to

Sirena does not have time for baking Valentine cookies
but she has put on her best
Valentine apron and pearls especially
for this party!

Since the big sewing machine in my Antique Emporium
room sold I have more space for small
furniture wares.

Sirena and I took a drive to my local craft store
for some Gray Gesso. I have
to say that I really like working
with it!

A Pier 1 shelf that's been
hanging around here gets a makeover.
Paint away Sirena!!!

She used Gray Gesso that Rosemary from Villabarnes
always talks about. Two coats of gray
was applied, lightly sanded then some ASCW was used!
Good job Sirena!!

I've been really lucky in finding vintage mirrors lately!

Sirena gave this mirror a good cleaning
with Murphy's Oil soap first..
then used the gray gesso and
some ASCP old white to soften
the gray color.

Muy bien Sirena!!!

Sorry I don't have a before picture
of the wooden frame but it too
turned out real pretty!

Love that ASCP!!!

Not only does Sirena work outdoors
but she's pretty crafty indoors too!

Denise from The Rusty Gate shared
a paint sample when she was last here...
so Sirena and I drove over to Lowe's
to have them match the color!

While Sirena was painting she got
a loose screw and wanted to drop everything
and head off to the beach!

No, no Sirena...we must finish
what we started!!

Sirena did a fine job don't ya think?

Have a great weekend!!
(whewwww...the staging part can be a real pain..hahaha)

Making a cork board

Another project crossed off my bucket list...

Making a cork board...

I gathered all of my corks

and placed them in a criss cross pattern
inside an empty shadow box...
sorry I didn't take a picture of that!

I'm a messy crafter...

I used Titebond II glue to make
sure that the corks adhered to the wood.
As I got to the bottom row, the
corks kept popping out

so my hubby placed a paving stone on
top of the corks so they would
stay in place.

Several days later my
cork board is ready to be hung.

Have a great day!

Scrolls and whirls patio furniture

Some quick photos of what I purchased
this morning at the thrift store!

These are the times that I want
to keep found treasures for myself...
but....
I have special plans for these beauties!

sorry for the background noise...

I love all the detail!

Picture taken at the thrift store...
pink cushions are gone!!

Have a great day,

Pink hibiscus and blue pot

My latest treasures from
the flea market today are
small pretty things.

I love this hand painted pink
hibiscus painting...

Some small treasures...
A black and white Scherenschnitte that
I've been eyeing for awhile....
a handful of chandy crystal prisms to
add to my stash.

My eye was drawn to the blue glazed cement pot
so it came home with me.

What did goodies did you find this week?

Friday thrift finds...

Grocery shopping can be fun!
Especially if there is a thrift store
along the way! haha

I'm going to be silly today,
it's Friday!!!

My leather suitcase is packed,
for granny's house...

We are going to a flower garden
 penny fundraising party!!

so we can buy a
blue steeple for her amazing....glorius
blue church!

I wore a tiny white flowered and pink rose hat
 with green netting...

and granny brought a pink bow with pink
roses with green netting to wear too!

We are going to exchange hats everytime

I get a soda pop for me an' granny....
silly us!

After...we'll strolled around...hand in hand
and admired the crafts and collectibles...

Granny really like this Pg pottery bowl,
she said it remided her of grandpa...get it?
hahaha...

It was a wonderful day with granny,
she packed these two tiny
Hadley styled hearts and a tiny flow blue
mug that says..
"Love the Giver"...

It's Friday!!!
Have a great weekend friends,
Sylvia
