Whewwwww...it's been a long and fun trip....flying around in my magic carpet...visiting other OWOH fellow bloggers has been very exciting. I visited places like Greece, Slovenia, Canada and I am not even half way done with the list!!! I decided to park my magic carpet and participate in Silver Sunday, never missed one yet! My pictures include a not so old bracelet that I found at TJ Maxx a couple of years ago. I love that it says...."AMOR"....LOVE in Spanish. You don't see much of that around here. It gets lovingly used during the month of love or on those special dates with hubby. Next is a tiny SS charm with a green stone that I found at an antique store, I immediately loved it since it was so unusual and chunky. And finally the last picture I would be wearing if I was still in High School, it was so cool to wear your boyfrineds bracelet.. My hubby wore this during the 70's and I was lucky to have inherited it. Now I am off to visit Beth at Gypsy Fish for more silver sunday goodies....maybe I will fly over since the magic carpet is parked right outside....Have a great day....

One World One Heart
Welcome to my little corner of the world. My name is Sylvia and I live in East Central Florida, USA, the "Space Coast " area since we are so close to Cape Canaveral Fl. When you read my blog posts you will see that I tend to go back and forth between my collections and gardening. I love both and sometimes have a hard time balancing the two. My current hobby right now is learning to solder memory glass charms...I found that it's not so easy at first since my solder is turning out so uneven but with more practice I know I will get the hang of it. And since I am crazy about charm bracelets why not add more to my bracelets. My giveaway is open to in and outside the United States and it deals with something you would see in the night sky while you are riding your magic carpet around the world. The Aurora Borealis has always fasinated me while I lived in Minnesota during my younger days and I thought it would be perfect to incorporate an Aurora Borealis necklace that I found at my local flea market. In order to be eligible for my giveaway you must have a working blog and leave me a comment with your link. The magic carpet ride and my giveaway ends on February 15th, I will draw ONE name randomly so please make sure you leave me a link so that I can contact you if you are the lucky winner. I hope to meet lots of wonderful bloggers through out the world and sincerely hope that we do stay in touch after our magic carpet party is over. It would be so much fun to maybe exchange some soldered charms??? I promise you that I wont send you an ugly one...hahahaha. Ok friends I am off on my magic carpet to see A Whimsical Bohemian...can you see me? I am on the last picture...zoooming over to see your blogs. Have a great ride!

Silver Sunday
For those of you that take that perfect picture I applaud you, go ahead and take a bow or curtsy, you deserve it my friends. I had the hardest time taking pictures of my silver.... there was too much reflection or too many shadows! After playing around with different backgrounds I finally took some pictures that I am somewhat happy with. I really wanted to capture the detail of the silver handles because that is what attracts me to silver utensils. Anyways...here are my silver trinkets...I don't use them as my everyday silverware since my family doesn't like the feel when the silver hits their teeth..hahaha but I do use them whenever I can display them somewhere. I am a sucker for old silver, wether it's SS or silverplate, I do not discriminate..hehehe. I love detailed and/or monogrammed handles and polish them maybe once or twice a year since I love that old looking patina.
Awhile back a friend introduced me to quadruplate silver spooners, I wasn't really into them at the time but since moving from CA to FL I can't seem to pass them by. It reminds me of my friend Nancy and all the wonderful times we had and shared. I am off to see Beth's Gypsy Fish blog and am going to try and visit every single Silver Sunday post on your blogs. Keep on tinking....(get it?)

The day was beautiful at Mt. Dora, we did get some sprinkles but not enough to take cover. My friends Amy, Dina and I decided to start at the hill first where most of the junky stuff is along with the fruits and plants. It seems that we spent most of our time there, we bought lace, keys, postcards, jewelry and baby shoes. By the time we were done with that area we didnt have much $$ left for the BIG part of the flea market. It's ok though because we had decided earlier in the week that we were only going to hunt for small little trinkets, nothing big this time. I was looking for the frozen charlottes and a vintage dress form. As you can see I came close to a frozen charlotte (with pink hair) but no luck on the dress form. Maybe next time. So sit back and enjoy the pictures....BTW...the last 4 or so pictures is what I bought plus the doilies in the background.
Have a great week...
