For those of you that take that perfect picture I applaud you, go ahead and take a bow or curtsy, you deserve it my friends. I had the hardest time taking pictures of my silver.... there was too much reflection or too many shadows! After playing around with different backgrounds I finally took some pictures that I am somewhat happy with. I really wanted to capture the detail of the silver handles because that is what attracts me to silver utensils. Anyways...here are my silver trinkets...I don't use them as my everyday silverware since my family doesn't like the feel when the silver hits their teeth..hahaha but I do use them whenever I can display them somewhere. I am a sucker for old silver, wether it's SS or silverplate, I do not discriminate..hehehe. I love detailed and/or monogrammed handles and polish them maybe once or twice a year since I love that old looking patina.
Awhile back a friend introduced me to quadruplate silver spooners, I wasn't really into them at the time but since moving from CA to FL I can't seem to pass them by. It reminds me of my friend Nancy and all the wonderful times we had and shared. I am off to see Beth's Gypsy Fish blog and am going to try and visit every single Silver Sunday post on your blogs. Keep on tinking....(get it?)

I think your pictures are fine. It is hard to photograph silver, my photos this week aren't all I hoped they would be either. That said, I love your silver and you showcase it well. Pretty Pretty!

BTW - great pictures! ;)
You have a beautiful collection of silverware and serving pieces, Sylvia! I totally agree about the problems of taking pictures of the silver. This is really a challenge and I'm not always satisfied with the outcome either.
Have a wonderful Silver Sunday!
Hugs,
Julia
Your silverware is very pretty. Just a couple hints that might help with your photos I know they help with mine...use the macro setting and use natural lighting whenever possible. Cloudy days are actually the best because they naturally difuse the light. Hope that helps!
wow! loving on your silver utensils! what a collection .. some of the nicest pieces i have ever seen .. good for you!!

WOW Syliva the display of silver in the clear vessel is breathtaking! All of these pieces have the most interesting handles...great collection!

Hi Sylvia,
Gorgeous, beautiful pieces! I love vintage silver as well. We use ours everyday and it's really great when I can find the silver with my initials monogrammed on the handle. I know what you mean about taking just the right picture. I fuss with the background and layout constantly before I'm even somewhat happy with the end results. Yours turned out great though!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Melinda
Beautiful collection of silver. Love the spooners....and your pictures are great...silver is very hard to photo...the one thing I have found, don't ever use a flash!
I have got to get me one of the spoon holders...I see them all over blog land...and I feel deprived...poor me!! lol! Happy SS!
I love your silver pieces and your pictures look great!
Happy Silver Sunday.

Every one of these silver servers is just beautiful! Photography is wonderful, the background color really allows the silver to "shine"! Thanks so much for sharing. ~ Angela
I really love how your silverware is displayed. I have my grandmother's silverware and I think I'm going to "steal" your idea and display it in glass...no sense having the beautiful silver tucked away in a drawer. Thanks for the idea.
Jane
LOVE your serving pieces. Well all your silver. Your pictures are great, love the red you are using to showcase it. thanks for stopping by and your kind comments.

And you're right, those handles on the silverware are really spectacular.

Wow, look at all the beautiful designs on the handles of the silver pieces! Really lovely!! (I have a hard time getting decent pictures too. I don't have a tripod so taking pics without flash is difficult.)
