YIKEES!!!! This morning I found a small black spider with yellow dots on the bathroom floor. At first glance it looked like it was some lint but then it moved!

Oh my, you poor thing. How on earth did you keep your composure long enough to take a picture? I have them in my garden too so I know exactly how you feel. And the big ones truly are scary.

YIKES! I'd run too. What kind of snake is it? I saw a glass snake the other day in a little pile of old brush. We sometimes see black snakes too.

Have a nice day, snake free I hope.

Boy that is a big snake! I guess I should be lucky we dont get that many snakes in our garden wit a brick wall that surronds it. But sooner or later Im sure we will get a vistor to the garden. But I guess that is just mother nature knocking on our garden door. I hope he has moved on to someone ealse. Have a better day....Julian

Hi Sylvia, I saw this picture on Rosie's blog (Journey ...) in her side bar, and caught my breath. No problem, just a natural fear.
Third one this week? I am wondering if the other two had the same markings, and what kind they are.
So far, I have had two unwanted guests - one was a long, skinny black snake, and the other was small and had very distinctive black markings on his back. The black one was probably a racer, and the other one might have been a rat snake. I looked in a reptile book and could not find them among the posionous snakes, so I am hoping they were just harmless, working snakes.
Did your friend slither away?
