On the way to the grocery store we drove by a garage sale. I was reluctant to stop since they day was cold and breezy. My dear hubby turned around knowing I love garage sales. I took a stroll thru the tables and then found what I've been searching for, for the last week. It's a wooden toolbox with lots of cubbies and trays. The guy was using it for his fishing lures. It does need some cleaning and maybe some oil to bring back the luster. It has a stamp marked Abercrombie and Fitch.  We did pay 30.00....not bad considering that most wooden tool boxes I was looking at were priced between $50-75.00   So now I have a place to store my jewelry accessories.
I finally took a picture of my resolution jar filled with my 2010 resolutions....I love the way the victorian calendar turned out. ANNNDDDDD....my son finished his "Young Author Book"...his front and back cover are plastic grocery bags fused together with an iron. It sure looks like brown paper....a great idea fromVanesaa from A Fanciful Twist  .

That tool box is awesome. I think $30 for a wooden box with all those compartments is not bad at all. Enjoy it!

what a great tool box! I love it! I think you did great amor, that price is awsome, they are expensive here in So Cal too, I found a handmade wood tackle box, like that at my favorite thriftstore and I couldn't believe it, I think I paid $4 they told me that the antique fishing lures and stuff that were actually worth $$ were being sold seperately at $5-50 per lure...well who am I to fight it :) I paid for my cheap ugly box and actually skipped out of the store :) I will show you a picture of it if you like, not as pretty as yours, but the handle is made out of thick rope...I put all my chachikis (chandelier crystals, broken jewelery bits...findings..lace)in there for making things.. I think your son did a great job with his book, an artist in the making I say :) Besos, Rose

I love the tool box! I think you got it for a steal so don't worry thinking ya may have paid too much! Mineral oil works great on old wood and once it soaks in there is no residue and it's cheap! Have fun cleaning it up and stuffing it full! Judi

Good find! Your husband is smart, he knew you'd be kicking yourself if you let a good garage sale slip by. :-)

Hi Sylvia
I didn't see an email on your profile so will leave a comment. If you could email me your address so I can send the gift you won on my birthday blog that would be great.
I have been having computer problems and have been traveling since before Christmas so maybe I missed your email. Thank you and wishing you a blessed new year.

I am jealous. There are no lawn sales here in Maine.....only snow. My 3 favorite seasons are Fall, Christmas and Lawn Sale. Only 5 months to wait for the later one.
