Rosette swap

Oooh-la-la...lavender fragrance filled my kitchen as I was opening up my sweet package. I immediately ooohhh and ahhhed as I saw all the pretties Lynn decorated with. She was nice enough to include a large Lavender bar of soap that smells sooooooo goooood! It all looks great in my bathroom.

Lots of Pizazz

When I saw this flashy handbag I couldn't pass it up...will I ever use it? I don't know but I love that it has lots of pizazz. Sure it's showy but also beautiful at the same time. Is it the Latin in me that adores all those vibrant colors so close together? haha... The bag was made in India and  I applaud the person that worked so hard to string every single glass bead, you did a BEAUTIFUL job!

Passion

The passion flower vine is growing like mad...twirls everywhere, oodles and oodles of stunning, fragrant purple flowers and loads of fruit everywhere. Mmmmm....I will be making passion fruit pie very, very soon.

My Trinket finds...

My big score this week was this Brahmin wallet...they are worth boocko bucks at the retail stores.

I was so delighted when I came across this SS Rockledge spoon...I don't see these often.

These two little bone china CoalPort flower vases are so adorable..cute b-day gift for a special one.

As we were taking our boys to practice last night, I noticed a bunch of junk out by my neighbors curb. Of course my neck grows to the length of a giraffe...checking out what is out there. I spied this super cute lampshade and figured I would pick it up on the way home. With my short attention span...I forgot all about it! Can you believe it was still there this morning? I tried to stop on the way to school but for some reason my kids yell "NO" and slide down their seat. LOL... On the way home I stopped and sure enough this lampshade is a beauty. It has glass beads all the way around the shade and in great shape. I love it!!!

Dina from Smushi and Bee started her craft Wednesdays again...I am excited to see and chat with my friends again. I just need to find something to work on!!!

Rainbow clouds

As the sun was setting last night we noticed a beautiful rainbow of colors behind the clouds...

Mangos

Mango galore...picked them last Saturday. Washed and rinsed them and placed them next to my sink so that I can keep an eye on them. Every morning I gently squeeze them and rotate them. This is our 3rd mango run...we eat them every morning, noon and night....delicioso!!!

Strange lights in the sky

As we were waiting for football practice to finish last Thursday, we happened to notice these strange lights in the sky. The sun was about to set in the west and these rays of light are coming from the east.

I brightened the first picture to get a better view.

 The rays of light did not move around either.

Any explanations?

80 Mile Challenge...

Tall Mom on the Run....80 Mile Challenge...in the month of August.
You can either walk, jog or run. From August 2 ~ Sept. 2nd.

     •80 miles/ 4 weeks= 20 miles per week

     •20 miles a week/ 7 days a week= 2.85 miles per day
 
I've been thinking of doing the Pumpkin in the Park 5k this October and what a great way to train..The Tall Mom way...anyone want to join? I am off to remove some clothes (remember I'm in Florida) and put my tennis on. Catcha later...Sylvia

A couple of hours later...

While my boys were at Football practice I trekked on over to the park and walked and jogged for 3.75 miles. Whewww....am I out of shape!!! It's been 3 years since I've challenged myself and let me tell you..it's not the legs or the breathing that slowed me down...it was my BRAIN! I guess I have to re-train my whole self all over again. But YEAAAAA...I did do 3.75 miles...yeaaaa for me. Hubby is joining me tomorrow.
