Estate Sale finds

What a crazy morning today was...rushing to drop kids off at school...noticing an Estate Sale along the way
and thinking...planning...convincing hubby (yes he was with me today) to stop afterwards. He said he had me all figured out when he saw the estate sale sign...hahaha.

My mouth dropped open when I saw the dress form standing there, I had been looking for
one for awhile and almost jumped for joy when the lady said
$10.00 and that it used to be her grandmothers.

Ohhh the wonderful stories it could tell....

another find was this sewing kit,
I will fill it with all kinds of trinkets.

Look how pretty these beaded gloves are...
they too had to come home with me.

Speaking of great finds...

The garden is coming alive with new growth and
the roses have been blooming non stop...

my Amaryllis in all its glory...

Another Amaryllis...

This rose smells mmmm soo good, it has a
spicy fragrance.

It has been so windy lately, I love
how the petals made a path...

I wonder where they are going?

It's Spring Break this coming week,
we all deserve a break especially
the kids that have been working hard getting ready for
FCAT testing next month.
We plan to do absolutely
NOTHING...
and we are going to enjoy it too...

Have a great weekend...
Sylvia

Great finds! I had one of those from my aunt...My.... *I don't think you need this anymore* convinced me to dump it... I don't know how he did it....wore me down...I could kick myself for letting him get away with talking me out of keeping it. It makes me sad to think it was a treasure that I let go of.... and, life goes on. xoso Sandy O

My first time visiting your blog and I noticed your wonderful dress form find you purchased. That price is a steal.
Just wanted to let you know too that I have a tutorial on my blog showing how to turn that style of dress form into a different look. Check it out and see if it is something that you'd like to try. Janis of Rust and Ruffles is a friend of mine, and I found you on her site. As a jewelry designer you will find photos through out my blog that I showcase and shoot photos of using a re purposed dress form similiar to yours. Love mine and I'm sure you'll be loving yours for years to come.

Sylvia, you had a great morning! My favorite, not counting the dress form, of course...the gloves...they are so chic!
