We are at the tail end of VBB and I am sad to say that I am going to miss it! It was nice chatting with other fellow bloggers and checking out their vintage black goodies.

Today's post is an old little baby shoe that covered someones little piggies and an old tin that I fell in love with because of its turquoise color. Don't forget to visit Gypsy Brocante for more VBB goodies....

Have a great weekend and wish me luck at the Flea Market tomorrow!!!
P.S.....why did my picture rotate?

New Moon over Mt. Dora

What are you asking Santa for Christmas? My hubby asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I didn't give him an answer because I just don't know. There are too many choices...do I want new pruners for the garden? Maybe a another trellis for those vines that are growing out of control. Or do I want another piece of jewelry? Hmmmmm...decisions...decisions.

I am so excited for this weekend to start...it seems I will be spending lots of time with my girlfriends...Tonight we are going to see "New Moon". Even though I really didn't care much for the second book, I still have to see the movie..I thought Bella was too wishy washy and I do expect to be teary eyed when Edward leaves.

Then on Saturday my girlfriends and I are heading out to the Mt. Dora's Antique Extravaganza. We have been waiting a whole year for this super duper flea market. We did go last year but we need to go back this year for the "should have bought" items we passed up. Maybe I'll find my Christmas present.

Have a great weekend....

Up in the Air with A Fanciful Twist....

Do you ever have a plan when you wake up in the morning? My plan was planned...down to the tee! I even slipped my camera case (with camera inside) over my shoulder so I wouldn't forget it and mess up my perfect plan. I gave myself enough time to drive into Merritt Island to avoid the traffic, stopped for a few hours and volunteered at my favorite thrift shop. Next thing I hear and felt is that deep rumble (sort of like an earthquake) and realized my plan was ruined!!! I literally ran out of the shop, ran to my car and quickly grabbed my camera and tried to focus on Space Shuttle Atlantis. It was too way off in the atmosphere for me to catch it but I did catch its trail (sorry I don't know its correct name). Sooooo...this is my perfect picture from my perfect plan.
If you check out NASA. com, you will be able to see some AMAZING pictures of the shuttle (I would've had amazing pictures too!).

After I got home and was busy making dinner my husband walks in with the mail and says with a question..."You got a package from Fanciful Twist?" My reply was "Wow, already, I just ordered from her a couple of days ago". I didn't immediately open up the package because the outside of the envelope was too good to miss. Vanessa's art work adorned the outside too... The envelope is definitely a keeper too..lol I did finally open the package, trying not to tear her pretty sticker on the back and quickly took out the cellophane package. I couldn't wait to tear off that plastic thing off but couldn't find how to open it..hahahaha
This is what I ordered from Miss lovely and talented Vanessa. I am a sucker for cloche jars and when I saw these cards in her etsy shop I did not hesitate at all!!!! I love all the little details she added to her cards Not only did I get the cards I got her personalized business card, a picture of Sweety -pie wishing me a Magical day, which by the way is going to be my bookmark. And a very pretty Thank You card.

For those of you that haven't visited Vanessa's blog, you have got to check it out. You can find her at A Fanciful Twist. Thank You Vanessa for my beautiful cards!

Yeaaa it's time for more vintage black items...but I must say...I am running out of items! Would I be able to get away with posting a picture of my black 12 year old corgi??? hehehe

These are my husbands grandmothers rosary beads. I inherited them when she sadly passed away. She was a very sweet women with a big heart.

Were you in band when you were in grade school? I learned to play the clarinet in 5th grade and played it all the way to my senior year. I loved the concerts, parades and football games because I got to show off my music skills. I used to love to clean my clarinet and loved the smell of a new reed. Is that weird or what? Sooooo...here is my clarinet from many years ago.

Jill at Gypsy Brocante has lots more to see plus you must visit all the others gypsies and check out their VBB goodies...

Thrifty Thursday

Do you know what time it is? It's tool time...ooops...I mean Thrifty Thursday, hosted by Leigh. Mozy on over to her site and check out all the other goodies posted for today's special event.

This will be my 3rd vintage dress that I own so I guess that officially makes it a collection right? As soon as I saw this pretty thing I fell in love with the ruffly sleeves and the huge pin attached to the ribboned waist. Unfortunately it does have a stain at the bottom front so I will have to see if I can wash it out. Cost $3.00
Don't you love this vintage style phone? It's from Pottery Barn..yiiihaaaaa!!! I haven't checked to see if it works but it really doesn't matter if it doesn't. The Victorian ladies playing cards are my favorite but its too bad that the price was written on the front with black sharpie. I am thinking of adding a small rhinestone there and giving as a gift. Cost...75 cents.
The darling 4 little compote dishes are too cute! They all have bees on the outside and the label on the bottom states "made in France". Perfect for pudding or placing a cupcake in it. Cost..$1.00

OK..now I am off to check out all the other Thrifty Thursday finds, see ya tomorrow for VBB.

PS....would love to read your comments...Have a great day.....
