My Garden is singing with joy due to the thunderstorms and lots of rain we got last night. It's been a long dry season and the plants have been thirsty. I took a few pictures this afternoon and decided to Flaunt Your Flowes Fertilizer Friday with Tootsie tomorrow. It's been awhile since I've posted pictures of my poor neglected garden but here it goes. The first two pictues are of my Bilbergia in full bloom. I am in awe of the bright colors, who would ever think that green, purple and bright pink would look so good together!!!  The next picture is of a palm that I have coveted for the longest time!!! They were at the orange box store last month and my hubby decided to buy me two of them for my birthday, even though my b-day was back in Oct. They are called "bottle tree palms". The get very round and fat at the bottom and grow tall. I sure hope I dont end up killing them. DH planted one in the front and one in the back for me. The little purple flower plant  is a Thumbergia (I think), it's called Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. I fertilized the heck out of this plant this summer, it was either that or compost baby!!! It FINALLY bloomed and I detect a very slight fragrance. Soooo...she is staying on for while...next is Dombeya Seminole that bloomed earlier this summer for me...I couldn't pass up taking a picture of the dried flowers, they look so pretty and orangy. The garden is getting ready to go dormant for the winter, the squirrels are busy gathering up their little acorns for a little snack during those cold dreary winter Florida months...lol.  I have also included two beautiful hawks off in the distance of my house. I could hear them squawking and at first I thought it was a bald eagle but as I looked through my camera I realized they were hawks. They were probably looking for afternoon snacks. Have a great Friday...

I have a Bilbergia, from my Grandmother. It's an old plant, It's been neglected, and need to move it to another place so I can see it more frequently. Mine has only the green leaves. What exposure do you have yours in?
Awesome shots of the hawks!!
Have a great day!
